The Afghanistan national football team on Thursday defeated Turkmenistan by 3-1 in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup.
The first goal in favor of Afghanistan was hit by Islam Amiri in the final minutes of the first half of the game.
Ahmad Haris hit the second goal for Afghanistan during the initial minutes of the second half the game while the third goal was hit by Faisal Shaista during the last minutes of the second half.
The first goal for Turkmenistan was hit by Sulaiman during the second half of the game. The goalkeeper of Turkmenistan was also given a red card along with another player during the second.
The Afghan team is expecting to face Laos during its third match in Group B of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup on Saturday.
Afghanistan’s first match in AFC Challenge Cup was against Philippines which ended in draw.
